I have always been passionate about community progress.
Throughout the years, I have advocated or funded projects on behalf of seniors, youth, women, people with disabilities, families, and the common person. I spearheaded a campaign called “Kingsbridge Matters” to urge transit planning committees to provide a stop at Kingsbridge — a community with a relatively high proportion of seniors in Ward 4. After listening to the residents' concerns, I found that many felt neglected in the planning of the LRT.
My company, Lisgar Development, has conducted business activities in Ward 4 for more than 35 years. As the Chief Operating Officer of Lisgar, I've implemented energy conservation efforts to modernize a 60 year old company and promote sustainability practices for my company. In the past, there was little to no energy management at Grant’s company. But under my leadership, energy management has been made into one of the company’s top priorities.
Currently, I am a board member of I Can We Can, a member of Rotary Mississauga. I work with women’s organizations, such as Avanti Women, an organization led by the Coalition of People With Disabilities.
